My, what big eyes you have...

I really like great horned owls [GHOs from now on] and the pale tundra GHO is really cool. They are such a different looking bird compared to the owls around here. Right now, this fella much more closely resembles the local gray morph ESOs than the larger GHO.

Anyway, I think there's about 7 hours into this. I don't know for sure, but it was a lot of fun and many different sittings.

11x14", pretty much only one brush used. Painted from reference [ [link] ] while ~DeKay2011 was over. If the original photographer would like this submission removed, I will willingly do so.
